London Silver Market

London, Nov. 4.

Messrs. Mocatta and Goldsmid, in their weekly bullion letter, write.—Price movements on the silver market during the past week have been negligible, although the weakness of the dollar has lowered the rate at which American support can be expected.

The chief feature has been the import of silver coins to the value of over £3,000,000. These have been sent to London by the Chinese Government for safe keeping.

Stocks of silver in London at the end of the week were placed at 6,000,000 ounces.—Reuter.
