Sin-—In war time, or rather "Incident" time, one must be prepared to accept anything The Hungjaoites-Kiangwanites etc. of which I am one, should pocket their pride and be grateful for small mercies.
I possess a dog—a hunting dog—who by the laws of nature needs lots of exercise—however owing to the prevailing conditions in and around Shanghai, he, like we poor mortals, is limited to exercise space.
I only ask, do not condemn these poor dumb, or not so dumb to my mind, animals to have a little recreation. I never let my dog off his lead while I knock that little white ball around. but he is happy to even be out with his Missy.
Well! to hope that in the near future dogs will not be allowed in the Race Course is a challenge which makes my blood boil. Apparently Nrsuck is not quite human and must be pitied.
I only hope my dog will recognize him and retaliate in the most appropriate manner.
