Indispensable for Spring

The very first step towards achieving a successful Spring wardrobe is to make sure of the foundation. What winter has done with its tea and cakes and irresistible thick soups is your own secret under the comfortable shelter of fur coat and house jacket. It will remain your secret when you have to stand alone in the tailleurs of Spring if you visit Maison Arcus in Hamilton House and choose your Vassarette. They are showing the most excellent styles—one made for the figure which needs holding in, has special non-stretch areas. These areas will only stretch lengthways, thus holding rigidly in just the necessary places, the rest of the garment being softly pliable. Brassieres for the full figure of entirely new and most ingenious construction are waiting to give pleasure and a new appearance to their wearers. There are girdle pants with detachable suspenders, and for the warmer weather a new girdle with unrollable top, the material of which is practically transparent.

Elegant new bags are another feature of this house—those of baby crocodile in red and dark blue, with silver-gilt clasps and beautifully fitted were particularly fascinating. New bags mean new gloves and these are here too—washable for all their exiuéde softness, and in colours. 'e guaranteed to wear indefinsuch is the quality of their Belle Sharmeer stockings, ultra-transparent and strong, have taken on Spring tints. The new Lidosan is simply a sunburned skin, clinging to every curve and tendon. It is wonderful with either white shoes or dark and follows Nature so exactly that it agrees with every colour offered to it. Maison Arcus never order big supplies of these stockings, but sends for more as they are needed. This ensures that every thread is new. healthy and good and explains why such gossamer things give such long hard wear.
