SPANISH PRIESTS

CAPTURED — Three Said to Be Missing

in Anhwei Three Spanish missionaries engaged in evangelical work at Suitung, Anhwei, were recently taken away by Chinese troops to Luchow, in the central part of the province, under military escort, according to information reaching Catholic circles in Wuhu, a Japanese "military spokesman revealed yesterday.

The action, he said, was attributed by missionaries in Wuhu to the adoption of a new policy by the Hankow Government as a result of Communist influence whereby religious activities, the Catholics in particular, would be repressed.
