Diet to Consider "Incident"

Japan's extraordinary budget in connexion with the "China Incident," providing for Y.4,850,000,000 has been approved by the Cabinet and sanctioned by the Throne, and will be submitted to the Diet on Monday.
The new appropriation is expected io cover the whole of the military and naval operations in China for the financial year beginning April 1.
Of the total of Y.4,850,000,000, fully Y. 3,260,000,000 will go to the War Office, Y. 1,040,000,000 to the Navy Office, and Y. 550,000,000 to the Ministry of Finance.
About Y. 4450000000 of the amount will be raised by bond issues, and the rest by increased taxation.—Reuter.
