Gear y .. Claire Dodd idney Blackmer Cliff Edwards John Wray "Peggy Ryan Helen Jerome Eddy. Rollo Lloyd Edward MeWade ses. Toby Wing With a well-balanced cast, a theme which requires little strain on the imagination and several unique angles to the plot, "The Women Men Marry" opened at the Nanking Theatre yesterday, having for its featured players "Mr. George Murphy and Miss Josephine Hutchinson. Both give excellent interpretations of the roles which are of the matter-of-fact type, calling for "no great amount of histrionic endeavour, It is rather to Miss Claire Dodd, the faithless wife, and to Mr-Sidney Blackmer, the friend and employer of the husband, who becomes entangled with her, that dramatic honours must go. Miss Peggy Ryan, the neighbourhood "brat," also comes im for a share of credit, while Mr. Clift Edwards is his usual saucy self. The remainder of the supporting players handled their varied roles with tact and skill. Inasmuch as the plot is unique, details will not be revealed here other than to state that it concerns newspaper men who are out to unravel a crime. For an hours Itisurely relaxation, "The Women Men Marry," is recommended.
There must háve been an error in the programme because the "News of the Day" deals with the: World's Series, Thanksgiving turkeys and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor visiting Paris last autumn. Other than this, three other shorts are genuinely interesting, including colour views of Yellow stone National Park, an Our Gang incident and a Pete Smith speciality. EPR,
