Appreciation Of Valuable Services For Refugees The Secretary of the Municipal Couneit has sent the following letter of appreciation to Mr, N. H, Lacey, [Secretary of the Committee Ca: Ordinating the work of evacuating refugees:
"Sir—T am directed to convey to you an expression of the Council's warmest "appreciation for the very Valuable services which you have Fendered and are still rendering as Secretary of the Committee ordinating the.work of Evacuating Refugees.
Your public-spirited action in ace cepting the Secretaryahip of this Committee at short notice, as well placing the whole of your firm's organization at the Committee's disposal iS much appreciated, and the practical jand valuable advice which you wore able to bring to bear on the problem which confronted the Committee con= tributed, in the Council's opinion very materially to the very excellent work performed by the Committee on be-halt of the community."
