Abe Cabinet's Resignation Certain Today Pressure Brought on Prince Konoye Tokyo, Jan. 13.
LO confusion ruled the Japanese political scene tonight, a resignation "en masse" of the Cabinet headed by General Nobuyuki Abe appeared inevitable early tomorrow morning.
This action would be carried out despite the failure of Mr. Kurahei Yuasa, Lord Keeper of the Privy Seal, to secure a suitable candidate to succeed Gen. Abe at the helm of the Japanese Government, observers believed.
"They forecast that General Abe would reach agreement with his colleagues at an extraordinary session at 9 o'clock and announce the resignations soon afterward.
If this takes place Gen. Abe, following the usual procedure, will go to the Palace and present the resignations to the Throne.
In that event, the Emperor would then request Mr. Yuasa to suggest a successor.
