First Church of Christ, Scientist "Matter" was the subject of the Lesson Sermon read on Sunday March 20, in all churches of Christ, Scientist throughout the world.
Golden Text Ps 1147 Tremble, thou earth at the presence of the Lord at the presence of the Go of Jacob. Among the citations which comprise the Lesson Sermon is the following from the Bible "I know that, whatsoever God doth, it shall be forever nothing can be put to it, nor anything taken from it and God doth it, that men should fear before him." Ecclesiast 3.14-15. "The Lesson Sermon also includes the following -[passage from the Christian Science Textbook "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures "by Mary Baker Eddy" "Eternity, not time, ex-^|presses the thought of Life, and time;|is no part of eternity. One ceases in proportion as the other is recognized, Time is finite, eternity is forever infinite Life is neither in nor of matter, what is termed matter is unknown to Spirit, which includes in itself all substance and is Life eternal, pp 468 and 469.
