Production of electricity py the electric light and power industry of the United States for the week ended March 19 totalled 2,018,000,000 kilowatt hours, according to the weekly statement published to-day by the Edison Electric Institute.
This indicates a decrease of 87 per cent. from the corresponding week of last year, when the output totalled 2211,000000 kilowatt hours.
Electricity output during the previous week amounted to 2,015,000,- 000 kilowatt hours, showing a decrease of 9 per cent. from the same week in 1937.—Reuter.
