The communique was read out by M. Grigor Gafencu, the Rumanian Foreign Minister, as President of the Entente Council, after which the representatives of the four countries made separate statements.
M. Gafencu said the Conference had been held in an atmosphere of complete calm and perfect understanding.
"We have been able to confirm our desire loyally to serve the cause of peace and to develop friendly relations with our neighbours," he declared. He added that he wished to deny "all the sensational rumours which got abroad concerning the conference."
