Share Market Report:—(up to Friday noon).—Little interest has been shown in the market by either operators or investors since the resumption of trading after the new year holidays. "The Industrial and Utility sections were neglected with the excep-n of Power Pref. A small turnover was recorded in Debentures, transactions being recorded in Anglo-French Land 6 per cent, 8.M.C. 5 per cent and 6 per cent, F.M.C. S per cent and Powers 5} per cent. The improvement which was noted last week in the general situation has been over-shadowed by the action of terrorists who made their presence felt by their senseless activities and the resultant proclamation issued by the Shanghai Municipal Council. As long as conditions such as these exist little improvement can be looked for in trade and until trade improves stagnation is bound. to continue on the share market.
