Steel mill activity in the United States for the week ended April 2 was placed at 326 per cent. of capacity, according to the weekly report of the American Iron and Steel Institute, published today.
This compares with 35.7 per cent. of capacity last week and 89.9 per cent of capacity for the corresponding period of last year, showing increas of 3.1 per cent. of capacity and 57.3 per cent, of capacity respectivel; compared with the figure for the wee! under review.—Reuter.
