Labour Leader's Warning

San Francisco, Jan. 17.

Mr. Harry Bridges, Australian-born radical leader of west coast maritime labour, told a convention of the Committee for Industrial Organization tonight that "big business is out to bust us; we've got to meet them with national unity as fast as possible, and cannot endure on the present craft union basis."

The dispute over whether labour should be organized according to crafts, as advocated by the American Federation of Labour, or vertically, grouping all workers in any industry in one union, which the C.LO. demands, has been one of the chief sources of warfare between the two big organizations—United Press tural leaders.

In the course of his speech, Mr. Moss expressed the hope that the friendly relations between Great Britain and China would be further strengthened. Dr. Han Li-wu replied suitably.—Reuter.
