R.A.S.C. Hold Lead In Darts League

Carter Road Quarters Running Close With Louza Blues Trailing Third

As a result of the past fortnight's darts activities in the Shanghai Open League the R.A.S.C. and Carter Road Police Quarters are still running neck and neck for honours with the soldiers a little in the lead. They have gained 30 points from 13 matches, eleven of which have been won and two lost. The Carter Road side have fared just as well in the matter of matches won and lost but their record of 3-0 wins is not quite as good as that of their arch n and in consequence they are trailing their opponents by a bare two points, Both teams have secured seven points as a result of their last three encounters and they promise, from the way things are going, to be extremely close when the season ends.

Louza Blues, favoured in many circles to clinch the title, are in the third rüng of the ladder five points 2|behind the Carter Road VI, but they have the advantage of two matches in hand and if they are able to obtain the maximum from these battles, then they will oust their Police rivals from second place.

"The Jail too, is well placed, level on points with Louza Blues, but they unexpectedly came a cropper against the Recs a few days ago and for the time being their chances of climbing io the top have been considerably diminished.

At the other end of the table, Central Club bring up the rear with only ten points secured from eleven matches, It must be remarked, however, that big changes may be anticipated within the near future in the bottom half of the table only nine points separating the last fifteen teams, Highest score in one throw still re. mains to the credit of D. A. Cumming ide team, whose 174 (two s and a treble-20) helped his squad to gain a much needed point from the Garrison Sergeants' Mess.
