Oslo, Feb. 19. The funeral of the six German sailors killed on board the Altmark was held here today in the presence of the German Minister, Dr. Heinrich Sabin, and the German Consul.
The action taken by Norway following the Altmark affair was explained in an official communique released by the Foreign Ministry today.
The communique said that the Norwegian Minister in London, M. Erik Colban, had been instructed to lodge a serious protest against "this serious violation of Norwegian territorial waters which caused much indignation since it took place in a Norwegian fjord and could not have been attributed to an error or to a divergency of views regarding the limit of the territorial waters."
The Minister was also instructed to ask the British Government to instruct the British Navy to res Norway's territorial sovereignty future, and to ask the British Government to return the taken off the Altmark to y and to pay compensation.—Havas.
