German Patrol Hurl Dynamite at French Tactics of Asturian Miners In Spanish War Adopted

Paris, Feb. 23.

A German patrol which tried to raid a French outpost yesterday hurled sticks of dynamite, just as did the Asturian miners in the Spanish civil war.

The French were occupying three houses on the edge of a deserted village. Hand-grenades as well as dynamite were thrown at the French, and one of the houses was set on fire. The attackers, according to the French, were beaten off before they could ' approach within effective throwing distance.

A French communique says there were artillery actions on both sides yesterday, especially to the west of the Saare and east of Blies, There was also increased activity by both air forces between the Moselle and the Rhine, and over Alsace—Reuter.
