New York City Offices in Fifth Avenue Boldly Entered

New York, May 16.

A daring robbery was committed in the heart of the city here last night when a gang of six armed thiefs entered the offices on Fifth Avenue of the revenue department of the local electricity company, and seized $35,000. The robbery was carried out despite the presence in the building of over 150 persons. The gangsters emptied the contents of the drawers in the office and drove off in a waiting car. The police gave chase, but the robbers made good their escape.—Havas.
