Is Joe Louis slipping? Are his days as heavyweight champion of the world numbered These are the questions being asked throughout the fistic world of America today as a result of the brave showing made against the "Brown Bomber" on February 9 by swarthy Arturo Godoy of Chile.
That Louis's crown wobbled perilously on his head for fifteen rounds there is no question, and there is stil] much controversy as to the decision rendered at the end of the fight. One thing of which there is no doubt is that Louis is a very different man against a clever, weaving, bobbing adversary from what he is against a slow-moving, stand-up fighter such as many of his opponents have been.
