Japanese warships yesterday continued their efforts to rescue the crew of the s. San Antonio, 5,000-ton Panamanian vessel which ran aground five miles off Kwanchiaoweh lighthouse on the southwestern tip of Luichow Peninsula Friday, a message received here last night said.
The vessel, stranded last Friday en route to Shanghai from Hanoi, was sight by a Japanese warship responding to her S.O.S. on Friday afternoon. Japanese Naval authorities immediately dispatched ships to rescue the grounded boat, the report concluded.—Domei.
