Madrid, Rome Expected To Recognize Nanking Tokyo Said Concerned at Possible Soviet Move

Paris, Apr. 3.

The Chamber of Deputies yesterday adjourned until Thursday after a discussion of the inauguration of the new Nanking Government of Mr. Wang Ching-wei.

Informed French sources expected that the Nanking government would win early recognition from Madrid land Rome in exchange for preferential economic treatment in China.

Meanwhile, the "Paris Soir" said that Tokyo has been putting pressure on Berlin to prevent the relaxation of good relations between Berlin and Moscow. The newspaper said that Tokyo signified it would be reassured by a meeting between the Soviet Foreign Commissar, M. Viacheslav Molotov, and German Foreign Minister, Herr Joachim von Ribbentrap, if the latter could secure a pledge that Moscow has no intention of reinforcing her Far East troops in view of the end of the Finnish war.
