Marked Deterioration

Allied Blockade Having Effect; Czech Areas Face Famine as Nazis Drain Away All Supplies

Berne, Apr. 6.

(THE situation appears to be worsening in Germany as the Allied blockade is drawn tighter," the newspaper "Liberté," of Friburg reported today in a review of the past week's war activities.

"The Allies, are announcing their determination to enclose neutrals in their blockade if these countries do not stop trafficking with the Riech. Germany meanwhile reveals herself that her maritime warfare has less and less effect in preventing the supply of the Allies. The Allies therefore become stronger while the Reich weakens day by day and in the long run, the German troops cannot remain in fighting trim under these conditions,"—Havas.
