Many villages are still completely under water while the city of Erzinjan, practically destroyed by the terrible earthquake of last December, is being threatened by the waters of the Tujan torrent. The drop in the water level of the Yechilirmak river and its tributaries has made it possible to draw up an estimate of the losses. Several bridges were washed away, many houses collapsed, a number of cattle were drowned, but there was no loss of human life.
