New York, May 28.
Submitting to Congress the annual report of the trustees of the New York State Power Authority, President Roosevelt today expressed the hope that the United States and Canada would soon agree to a new St. Lawrence waterways treaty which would permit the full development of the St. Lawrence power resources.
Such a development would "be an important contribution, eliminating the possible shortage of power in case of a war" he said.—United Press.
