6212 Per Cent. for Malaya, MEI. and Nigeria The Hague, Feb. 19. The decision of the International Tin Restriction Committee yesterday to fix the tin export quota for the second quarter of this year at 55 per cent. of standard tonnages, means that the quotas for Malaya, the Netherlands East Indies and Nigeria will be approximately 62% per cent, Thus, for the quarter, Malaya will be allowed to export 11,252 tons and the Netherlands East Indies 5,682 tons. This adjustment is due to the sacrifice made by Bolivia on the same basis as the current quarter.

The question of buffer stocks is still undecided, as the views of the Governments concerned have not yet been received. The final decision is expected to be taken at a meeting which will be held in Paris—Reuter,
