Vatican Comment

Vatican, June 17.

"The continued aerial bombardments of Spanish paris and foreign vessels can compromise not only the application of the British plan of non-intervention, but they may even compromise the status quo of the very principle of non-intervention,". the "Osservatore Romano," semiofficial news organ of the Vatican City, writes today,—Havas, Washington, June 17.

Mr. Cordell Hull, Secretary of State, today released the letter which Mr. Hugh R. Wilson, United States Ambassador to Germany, delivered to the German Foreign Office on June 9 rejecting the suggestion that the Reich was not liable for Austria's foreign debts.

The letter reiterated the American contention that Germany had assumed all responsibility for the debts by annexing Austrian territory.—United Press.
