These are the first pictures to be received in Shanghai of the arrival of the King and Queen in Quebec on May 17.
The upper picture shows the scene in Parliament where Their Majesties were greeted by Mr. W. L. Mackenzie King, the Prime Minister, Mr. Maurice L. Duplessis, Premier of Quebec; and other dignitaries, Below, the King and Queen and Mr. Mackenzie King as they disembarked from the Empress of Australia, Transmitted from the International Sound-Photo Bureau at Quebec to San Francisco, and rushed to Shanghai by fast mail, these pictures reached Shanghai in 14 days, an unusual photographic feat.
