Pootung Lull Broken

The lull in guerilla warfare in Pootung has been broken as a large band of guerillas are stated now to nave landed near Nanwei, a coastal district in Pootung so that they may ce-operate with other guerilla units +o make a concerted attack on disloyal guerillas who have gone to the Japanese side. For many weeks fighting has not been reported from Pootung, but now the Japanese garrison forces along the Shanghai-Chwangsha Light Railway are reported to be nervous.

The loyal guerilla forces are said ie be well armed with modern wea-pens and several commanders who take orders from Chungking have been entrusted with the mission of clearing the peninsula of guerillas whose loyalty is shaky.
