Tokyo Press Boastful

Tokyo, June 25.

Alleged diplomatic activity of the Chinese Central Government, particularly in London: and Paris, for (he purpose of obtaining foreign media tion in the Sino-Japanese conflict, was featured in the Japanese press yesterday.

It is declared that China is anxious} to prevail upon third powers to act as intermediary before the fall of Hankow, Newspapers here assert in a boastful manner that the Japanese Government has taken the necessary measures for a lengthy war and will not submit to mediation until its goal is completely achieved. Should it prove to be necessary, the Japanese military operations will be extended throughout China, it is asserted, and the campaign will continue until the organized opposition of Chiang Ka shek is broken, Emphasizing again that Japan will not negotiate with Chiang Kai-shek, the papers declare that this would! not be compatible with Japan's ultimate military objective, which is e) complete extermination of the anti-Japanese regime in China.—Trans-Ocean.
