Pitcher Falters

Nalley, the Navy team's pitcher, failed to settle down and in the second inning issued two walks to Mudry and Crow, who scored on a high drive by Davis.

The third inning became more serious for the puzzled Nalley. Pasko started the fireworks with a terrific blow toward centre-left, the ball rolling toward the Cricket Club premises for the game's first four-bag-&er. Olsen and Goush were unsuccessful but Mudry put life into the Battalion squad with a_ grounder along the first-base line. He pilfered second before Radd singled. Grow lined out a drive into left field where Elmson failed to make good. The mistake cost the sailors two more runs, After this inning Nalley and Chirdon interchanged their position.

However, the Augusta crew came hounding back as led by Nalley, who slugged the ball between first and second for the first Navy hit. King was enlivened by Nalley's attempt and he whacked a screaming drive over left field into the Shang! Junior Golf Club premises. Later on. Tierny singled also to the left.and came home when Pasko made a wild throw to second.
