Tolerance of all religions and cultural freedom is guaranteed the Albanian people in the new Constitution given them today by King Victor Emanuel III The main articles of the Constitution provide that:—The State of Albania is governed by a constitutional monarchy. The throne is hereditary according to the Salic Law and belongs to King Victor Emanuel's dynasty.
The Albanian flag is red with a two-headed eagle and the sign of the fasces The official language is Albanian.
Legislative power is in the hands of the King, who will govern in collaboration with the Fascist and Corparative Superior Council Executive power rests ín the King's hands alone.
Judiciary matters are left wholly to the King, who may delegate them to a special judiciary body.
Interpretation of the law, compulsory for all, is reserved for the legislative authorities.
The organisation of communal and provincial associations is governed by law.
The Fascist and Corporative Superior Council to which reference is made is composed of members of the Central Committee of the Fascist Party in Albania and of the Central Committee of Corporative Economy. The President and Vice-President of the Superior Council are appointed by the King himself. The Council's sessions are public. The King may refuse to approve laws voted by the Council and may demand second debates on them.
The new Constitution will enter into effect as from tomorrow, June 4—
