New York, Mar. 4.
Cars and trucks produced in the United States and Canada during the week ended March 4 totalled 54,45 units, according to Ward's estimate of production:
This shows a decline of 2, 32 units compared with the previous week. when production stood at units.
Cars and trucks produced during the corresponding period of last y amounted to 127,134 units, units higher than the amount corded during the period under re-lar view.—Reuter.
Wheat prices in the Chicago Grain Pit slowly declined during the past week.
Sentiment was bearish owing to the dearth of export business coupled with the private winter wheat estimates indicating that the crop would be some 29,000,000 bushels higher than the preliminary figures issued by the Department of Agriculture in last December.
Mexico, it is reported, has bought some 10,000 tons of United States mixed, hard and red wheat, During the latter part of the week, prices broke sharply, on active liquidation and improved moisture conditions in the domestic winter and spring wheat areas.
Meanwhile, a little more belated selling would not.be surprising prior to some recovery,—Reuter.
