It was a good game yesterday for both teams were at their full strength. The Club secured the services of Mrs. Wilson while the Sportsgirls had Miss Little to play for them. Both were centre-halves and they certainly proved a valuable addition. Miss Little especially good. She was always in the thick of the fight and besides scoring the first goal for her team, she put up a sterling display in the defence by offering her opponents very little scope.
True, the Sportsgirls seemed to have a better defence but it availed them nothing for the Club forwards proved real opportunists. Of the five goals that were registered, only three deserved credit.
Miss Mary Sheridan again stood out. In spite of being closely watched by Miss Little, she let no opportunity be wasted and scored the two last goals which won the championship.

But in the 5th minute they allowed Mrs. McKeown to run away on an individual effort and beat their with a fine low shot to make ihe score even for the second time. Hereafter, play became more open. Both goals had narrow escapes.
With about 12 minutes left, the Oarswomen tallied the winning goal through Miss Sheridan who drove into the corner of the net with a hard shot which gave Miss Gordon no chance to save. Miss Baxter made ihe play. She received a pass from Miss Turner and cleverly slipped the ball to Miss Sheridan who was in a fne position. The latter took a first time shot and succeeded in the attempt to bring home the championship.
