Great interest will be aroused in the forthcoming marriage of members of two important Chinese families when on Saturday, April 16, Miss Liew Ming Tsung will become the bride of Mr. Li Chai Hwan.
The bride is the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs, O. S. Lieu, who are well-known here, and the bridegroom is the great-grandson of the late Viceroy Marquis Li Hung Chang, and great-nephew of Lord and Lady Li Ching Mai.
The ceremony will be of a quiet nature, and will take place at the Park Hotel, after which the young couple will leave Shanghai for a short honeymoon.
Both bride and groom recently returned from England where Miss Lieu has been studying at Queen's College, London, while Mr. Li is a graduate of Magdalen College, Oxford.
