Dividend 25 Dollar Cents Per Share Declared A profit of $78,789.86 on the year's working and a dividend of 25 Dollar cents per share declared was announced at the 25th annual general meeting of the Shanghai Seremban Rubber Estates, Ltd. held yesterday at 49 Szechuen Road. Mr, H. Kadoorie presided supported by Messrs. M. Speelman, J. K. Brand, directors, and Mr. W. A. Welch presenting J. A. Wattie & Ca., Ltd., secretaries and general managers. Shares present and represented were 77.650. The chairman in his speech said:—
I regret that Mr. A. J. Welch is unable to attend today as he is unwell and he has asked me to read his speech to you. First of all I must report with deep regret the death last week in an aeroplane accident of Mr. H. C. Pinching who has been our very efficient visiting agent for many years. He has done wonderful work for the company and he will be sadly missed and I know I shall be speaking for all of you when I express the deepest sympathy of this meeting for his widow.
