Seen in Nagasaki

Tokyo, July 28.

Japan's officialdom and newspapers to-night turned to Nagasaki in quest of a club leading to the present whereabouts of the Rev. Father Jacqui not. This followed the receipt of information here that the venerable, one-armed Jesuit had been in the Kyushu port on July 23.

Interviewed by Domei in Hongkong, Mrs, Eve Freeman, a passenger in the s, Empress of Asia on which Father Jacquinot travelled from Vancouver to Yokohama, said she had seen the French Jesuit standing on the gangway amidships, while the yesso] was anchored in Nagasaki, at about 11 o'clock at night on July 23.

Mrs. Freeman said she was returning aboard in a tender when the Canadian Pacific agent, who was riding in the same tender, pointed out Father Jacquinot.—Domei.
