Use Roman Salute

Rome, July 28.

The campaign in favour of the "Italianization of Italy" is continuing at a rapid clip.

Signor Dino Alfieri, Minister of Popular Culture, has just ordered theatre and film actors to make the Roman salute instead of shaking hands.

Orchestra leaders conducting in open air concerts this summer will be dressed in the Fascist uniform instead of the usual "tails."

The "Lei," polite form of addressing a person, will disappear in current use as well as in theatres and films as it is considered too ceremonious—

Havas.
