His name will always be remembered, and that the more easily, because Aall means, in algebraic formula, double Al. Alphabetically speaking, his name will head any list, whether in China or in Brazil, either in the telephone directory or in any other honour roll This is as it should be.
While we regret to see him depart, I am sure he will carry away with him many pleasant memories of his association with our country and particularly, Shanghai where he has made a host of friends. In saying farewell to you, Mr. Aall, in the Park Hotel, I am reminded of a tourist who was about to leave his hotel and after paying his bill, said to the Manager: "Now we are all square," upon which the Manager replied: "Yes but I hope you will soon be round again" And it is this same sentiment that I wish to voice on the eve of your impending departure.
