Japanese naval aircraft did not fly over the central part of Canton on Sunday when a "stray bomb" alleged to have hit a Chinese sewing factory, causing more than 100 casualties, a Japanese naval spokesman said yesterday morning.
The "sewing factory", Domei learned from independent neutral sources, was engaged in the manufecture of uniforms.
