The Chinese gained a slight lead but the Mines rallied in time and levelled the score at 5 all. Here the Tigers went on a spree which pushed the margin to 9-5. The battalion sextette again counter-attacked. However, the leaders succeeded in escaping unscathed by gaining the majority of points which helped to close the frame.
