Rudolph Friml Fined for Not Showing Passport Hongkong, June 19.
Mr. Rudolph Friml, noted American-Czech composer who is now touring the Orient to gather material for a "world symphony", was fined HK$25 this morning for not presenting his passport when he entered Hongkong. Police officials said they previously warned Mr. Friml that he must show his passport before entering the colony.
Mr. Friml last visited Hongkong in June, 1939, when he gathered ideas for an operetta entitled "Sing Song Girl," based on the Far East—United Press.
