Washington, Sept. 11 Mr, Cordell Hull, Secretary of State today convoked several State Department advisers to inform them of the text of the American note which will be sent to Mexico shortly through the United States Ambassador in Mexico City, refuting the Mexican arguments in connection with the expropriation problem and reiterating the views already Outlined by Washington.
The United States considers it indispensable that Mexico give a guarantee in principle that she will settle the question of indemnities for expropriated properties, in order to allow for the creation of the commission of mediation and arbitrage already suggested by the United States.—Havas.
