Jerry Donovan.......... Tommy Bupp Helen McCoy Juanita Quigley Joe "O'Mara -Dickie Jones Playing yet another rough and ready boy with a heart of gold, Victor McLaglen dies a hero's death at the Grand Theatre in Hollywood's latest version of the Dead End theme, "The Devil's Party."

As a lad, he sticks by his pals in a childish escapade and lands in the reformatory. Later, he saves a pal at the cost of his own life. It's all very high minded and edifying, with enough preliminary murder, robbery and bad chequing to put the story in the thriller class.

McLaglen, who has changed vei little since his initial hit in "What Price Glory," shares the spot with Wiliam Gargan, a likely young cop with an eye on the detective force. Beatrice Roberts is the girl in this case a blues singer with a fine flair for evening frocks. The cast includes an appealing group of children with tiny Juanite Quigley, and especially engaging as the pugnacious baby who demands her place in the waterfront gang.
