A Correspondent Punctured

To the Editor of the '"Norrt-Cuixa Dany News"

Sm—Your correspondent Just Sane should consult a mental special-st without delay, or at Jeast should refrain from discussing in the press a subject of which he shows himself incapable. In the first place, he wants ras] to. know "now can anyone be 40] balmy as to say that house rent should bbe paid after living a month in it and not in advance?" I never made any such statement. I was referring to living in a house. 1 have not come to the point of being able to live in house-rent!

His other gem of argument, which must have caused roars of laughter, among your readers this morning, was "It you pay in advance for house no one can run away with your money and leave you homeless." That fs just the point complained of by A Honcxew Resiogxr, to whose letter T called special attention, and which T used as a strong argument against the claim of certain landowners that rent should be paid in advance. The Hoxexew Rrsiorer paid his month's rent in advance; he was compelled to evacuate his house after a fortnight' occupation; and now. his former} Tandlord tells him he is out of luck and "can go hang."

hope Jusr Sane is not in the pay of certain landlords; it he is, they will do well, in their own interests, to dispense with him at once, for certainly no one of sane mifid would attempt to argue as he hes ud done.
