The Constitution of Committees of the Shanghai Municipal Council for the coming year includes several women members. Thus we have on the Library Committee Mrs, C. S. Franklin, and Mrs. A. W. Sherriff; on the Education Board, Mrs. Lancelot Giles, and on the board of Film Censors, Mrs. C. '7, Hutchins, and 'Mrs. Ryuko Miyoshi. One would have thought that a woman member would have been helpful in the Victoria, Nurses' Home Administrative Com~ mittee, but no woman is named on that body.
