Waterloobey Recovers from a Bad Start to Take 2nd, Two Lengths Behind; Benlomond Third in Big Race of the Day ADIANT Morn, ridden by "Peanut" Marshall, fully justified the confidence placed in hi by the public by winning the Criterion Stakes yesterday afternoon when the, Shanghai Race Club held the first day of their Spring Meeting, under rather adverse weather conditions.
The start of the race was delayed a long time; firstly, because of Waterloobey's inclination to bolt in different directions, secondly, on account of Nevada Morn's stubborn determination to rub his well groomed tail against the outer rail and lastly, because of Radiant Morn's sudden desire to "go home."
