Sensations of Men In Thetis Told

Professor Haldane Tries Conditions Experienced In Davis Escape Device

London, July 20.

After fourteen days of searching enquiry, the Thetis tribunal adjourned today. It will meet formally on July 27 to fix a date for a renewal of the hearing, at which the evidence of the salvage divers will be heard. It will then be known whether efforts to Taise the submarine were successful.

Mr. Geoffrey Shakespeare, Parliamentary and Financial Secretary of the Admiralty, replying to questions in the House of Commons this afternoon, said that in future only a minimum number of observers would be carried in a submarine engaged in diving trials, The captain of the submarine, he added, would be responsible for seeing that only a minimum number of persons above the submarine's complement remalnad aboard for such trials.
