Judging by the results of the preliminaries the finals are likely to be largely a two-way affair, with the championship henging between the Waterworks, who have won the title for the last three years, and the Power Company. These two groups qualified no less than 16 men each for tomorrow's contests in both track and field events.
The Gas and Tremways failed to shine in the heats and rivalry for second place honours should be vied for by the Busmen and Telephones, who d several men in the finals.
Ladies will also have a part as there are altogether three events listed for them. Girls and boys of under ars of age have their races too and will run separately over a isstnce of 50 yards.
