A meeting of the Executive Com mittee of the Central British War Fund, Shanghai was held at 27 The Bund on Friday. Mr. L. H. Lamb, H. M. Superintending Consul was in the Chair and the following members of the committee were present: Messrs. A. H. Atkins, R. J. E. Price, V. G. Bowden, Dr. E. G. Gauntlett. Messrs. G. H. Stacey (Hon, Treas.) and F. S. Crawford (Hon. Sec.). Sir Robert Calder Marshall and Mr. H. G. W. Woodhead were unable to attend.
The Treasurer's report showed that up to August 8 total subscriptions had been $1,072,773.21 and £18,853-2-10d Transfers from the dollar account brought the sterling total up to £38,003-16-5d of which £34.329-0-0d had been remitted to various organizations. The balance in hand was therefore $25,953.54 and £3,674-16-5d
