Jounny was a typical boy, and full of excusses for any wrongdoing. One day he whistled aloud in school -and his teacher asked how he happened to do it.
Johnny said: "I—I—didn't mean to. I had a little air in my mouth and I wanted to push it out; I didn't know it was going to make a noise."

Burglar Alarm Tue telephone bell at the police station went ting-along.
"I say," said a weary voice, "do you know where Miss Chinwag lives, inspector? There's been a burglar in her house for over three hours and she's been talking to him."
"T1 send an officer over right away, Is that Miss Chinwag speaking?"
"No," came the sleepy voice, "it's the burglar."
